IDG InfoWorld Honors Harris Interactive for Most Innovative Corporate IT Solution of 2005

Annual InfoWorld 100 Awards Honor Most Creative and Cutting-Edge Implementations of Enterprise Technology

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – November 14, 2005 – Harris Interactive® (NASDAQ:HPOL) was named a winner today in the Service category of the IDG InfoWorld 100 awards for 2005. These annual awards honor IT projects that demonstrate the most creative use of cutting-edge technologies to further business goals. Harris Interactive won the honor for its web/telecom integration project, or ICW as it is known at Harris Interactive. ICW integrates telephone agent-based data collection and web-based data collection into a seamless unit. This integration provides centralized control over voice interviewers, telephone and online sample, and combines market research data into a single, real-time reportable data store.

"We are deeply honored to join the likes of American Express, Avaya, Bowne, eBay, Electronic Data Systems, Federal Express, Kodak, Microsoft, MCI, Motorola, Proctor & Gamble, SBC, Sprint, ViewSonic and all of the other winners," said Leonard Bayer, executive vice president and chief scientist of Harris Interactive. "It’s great outside validation of one of Harris Interactive’s most sustainable competitive advantages: our superb survey systems technology," ended Bayer.

Nominations for the award were submitted by InfoWorld readers, technology partners, and end-user companies in late-summer. To be considered, projects must stretch beyond the typical, off-the-shelf solution, using multiple technologies in innovative ways to serve well-defined business goals. "The InfoWorld 100 provides a forum for IT managers to get the recognition they deserve for smart projects from an audience of their peers," said Eric Knorr, IDG InfoWorld executive editor at large.
